4/26/2005 Case 2: Severe muscular atrophy s/o perifascicular ischemia


Clinical History:

38 year old woman with a long history of sclerodoma, also progressive proximal muscle weakness and atrophy, more severe in the upper extremities. Serum CK is normal. EMG, done in the upper extremities only, reported to show myopathic change. Biopsy is from a thigh muscle, which is clinically weak.
